Basket ball,March Madness: Aussie Wrap

March Madness is off and running, day one is officially in the books and if 12+ straight hours of basketball has taught us anything it's this, we're in for one incredible tournament.

Sixteen games have been played with the average margin of victory a resounding 10.3 points, not exactly the close encounters we've come to expect but exciting none the less.
Of the 17 Aussies taking part in the tourney, 10 took to the floor on day one with all but one advancing to the second round. So just how did all of our players fare individually?
Xavier Cooks finished with a game high 23 points, shooting 10-22 from the floor which includes going 3-6 from beyond the arc. He also added a team-high six rebounds in his 36 minutes of game time.
Gorjok Gak played a total of seven minutes and finished with four points on 2-2 shooting and one rebound.
Emmett Naar: finished with a game high six assists and a handy 13 points on 3-6 shooting
Jock Landale: led the way again for the Gaels with a team high 18 points on 6-8 shooting and a game high 13 rebounds; also added two blocks to his stat sheet.
Tanner Krebs: Scored all of his 12 points in the first half, going 3-7 from the floor. Pulled down five rebounds, coming off of the bench.
Dane Pineau: Very serviceable seven points on 2-4 shooting and four rebounds off the bench.
Kyle Clark: Managed one rebound in his two minutes on the floor
