The day everyone had eagerly been
waiting for, seems to have finally arrived. India captain Virat Kohli is
all set to marry long-time girlfriend, actress Anushka Sharma.
According to reports in India Today, the duo will get married on
December 12, in Milan, Italy. The functions will start on December 9.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli might have said that his body needs rest after a long home season as the reason for resting for the upcoming limited overs series against Sri Lanka but if reports are to be believed, Kohli will use down time to tie the knot with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, whom he has been dating for a while.
However, Anushka's spokesperson denied the news saying "There is absolutely no truth to it (rumours of marriage)." The denial came after several TV channels reported that the couple was likely to tie the knot.
Reports further added that the wedding is going to take place in the coming weekend with tentative dates being 9, 10 and 11 in Milan, Italy.
The reports further suggest that none of the cricketers are invited for the wedding, and is a close and private affair. Also, the reception is expected to be hosted on 21 December. Last year too, during the same time in December, similar reports of the two getting married had come out.
While the duo have repeatedly denied news of getting married anytime soon, speculations are rife that this high profile wedding may take place as Kohli has asked for the rest before India embark on tough South Africa tour.
Recently, Kohli also praised Anushka in a chat show 'Breakfast with Champions' calling Anushka his lady luck.

Virat also reiterated that Anushka has stood rock solid with him over
the years, even when he was going through a rough patch in his career.
He went on to recall that during a tour of England in 2014, Anushka was
there in his life, she understood what he was going through so she kept
him motivated. Her support helped him push through and she was a
constant in that time. The cricketer also spoke about those who said:
"this is what happens when you allow girlfriends on the tour." He said
that he felt, "if you don't think this is right then no one can be in a
relationship". Virat also revealed that it was Zaheer Khan who advised him against hiding his relationship with Anushka.
